UAE Cabinet Sets Agentic AI Framework for Half of Federal Services

The federal programme turns artificial intelligence from a policy priority into an operating model for ministries, services and health regulation.

The UAE Cabinet, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, approved a federal framework to implement Agentic AI across ministries and federal entities, according to Dubai Government Media Office. The framework defines the roles and responsibilities of ministries and federal entities in a national project directed by the UAE President to make the country the first government in the world to deploy Agentic AI across 50 percent of services and operations.

The Cabinet approved the first package of transformational government services to be powered by Agentic AI, covering citizens' services, residents' services, business sector services and general public services. It also approved a skills and capabilities programme to train 80,000 federal employees across leadership, technical, specialist, general workforce and train-the-trainers categories.

The meeting also approved the National Policy for Advancing Digital Healthcare Services and Artificial Intelligence in the Healthcare Sector and the drafting of a federal law to regulate smart health applications and the use of AI in health. The policy covers AI-driven medical systems, digital health infrastructure, workforce capabilities, ethics, data governance, legal liability and patient rights protections.

Aleria Deploys 16,000 Nvidia Chips Across US and UAE AI Infrastructure

Abu Dhabi-based sovereign AI infrastructure provider Aleria is expanding its artificial intelligence footprint across the United States and the UAE through partnerships with Nvidia and DDN, Gulf News reported. The company will deploy up to 16,000 Nvidia Blackwell Ultra graphics processing units in the United States and 28 racks of Nvidia DGX Vera Rubin NVL72 systems in the UAE, among the first deployments of the platform in the region.

The US deployment will initially include 8,640 Nvidia Grace Blackwell Ultra GPUs before scaling to 16,000, supported by a 25-megawatt data centre for secure AI workloads. Aleria said the UAE installation is intended for governments and enterprises that need AI capabilities while retaining control over sensitive data, including government, healthcare, financial services, energy, utilities and telecommunications users.

Abu Dhabi AI Campus First Phase Stays on Track for Year-End Launch

The first phase of the UAE-US AI Campus in Abu Dhabi is expected to become operational before the end of 2026, Zawya reported, citing officials. The first phase will have a capacity of 500 megawatts, while the full campus is planned to reach 5 gigawatts and become the largest AI campus outside the United States.

The campus is part of the UAE-US AI Acceleration Partnership and is expected to support AI computing demand, research capabilities, next-generation applications and large-scale digital infrastructure. Zawya said the project forms part of broader UAE-US cooperation in artificial intelligence and advanced technology, with UAE companies including G42 and MGX expanding investments across the AI value chain.

Fikra Ventures and Hub71 Create Abu Dhabi Route for AI-Native Companies

Fikra Ventures partnered with Hub71 to build and scale AI-native companies from Abu Dhabi, Zawya reported. Under the agreement, Fikra Ventures joins Hub71's ecosystem as a partner venture studio and will operate as a venture builder for Hub71's Initiate Programme.

The partnership creates two pathways: building AI-native companies in-house around validated market demand and supporting selected global AI companies entering the region through joint ventures. Hub71 said the arrangement strengthens Abu Dhabi's venture-building and market-entry capabilities for companies seeking commercial traction from the emirate.
