Ajman Begins Executive Phase of 100-Initiative AI Programme

The emirate is turning agentic AI from pilot activity into an operating model for government services, business licensing and cross-entity coordination.

Ajman has launched the executive phase of its Artificial Intelligence Program, beginning institutional implementation across government entities, Economy Middle East reported. Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi, Member of the Executive Council and Leader of the programme, said the phase follows the completion of the Enablement and Governance Committee, the organisation of the Executive Team, executive orders setting timelines and an inventory of existing AI use cases across government entities.

The programme aims to launch 100 initiatives aligned with the eight pillars of Ajman Vision 2030, standardise AI practices across government entities, strengthen knowledge sharing and promote responsible use of artificial intelligence. The executive phase starts with activating governance committees, naming coordinators inside government entities, conducting a comprehensive inventory of current AI use cases and preparing a unified operational framework.

Ajman also completed the UAE's first government transaction to renew a trade licence using Agentic AI through a proactive headless government service model. The first phase focuses on trade licence renewal through the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, with customers notified before expiry and directed to an intelligent assistant in the AjmanOne government app.
