DIEZ And VOLT Plan AI-Ready Data Centre In Dubai Silicon Oasis

The project gives Dubai a new sovereign-grade compute asset as demand for artificial intelligence workloads moves from strategy into physical infrastructure.

Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority has formed a joint venture with VOLT UAE, the regional platform established by Dutch data centre and AI factory developer VOLT, to develop an AI-ready data centre in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the Government of Dubai Media Office said. Schneider Electric will support the project with electrical systems, power distribution and smart data centre infrastructure.

The development will span up to 60,000 square metres and be implemented in two phases, starting with 29 MW of readily available capacity and followed by an additional 100 MW of committed power. DIEZ will provide land and core infrastructure, while VOLT UAE will develop, finance and lead construction, design, execution, leasing and operations.

Han de Groot, chief executive of VOLT, said the project is designed as a potential AI factory, a facility where energy is transformed into intelligence. Dr Mohammed Al Zarooni, executive chairman of DIEZ, said the partnership reflects investor confidence in Dubai's business environment, digital infrastructure and economic policies.

Hub71 Says Abu Dhabi Ranked First Globally For Founders In 2026

Hub71 said Abu Dhabi has been named the world's top city for entrepreneurs in 2026, scoring 85.45 out of 100. The startup platform positioned the result as a signal of the emirate's operating environment for founders seeking capital, market access and institutional support.

The ranking item is not a new grant or procurement announcement, but it strengthens Abu Dhabi's programme narrative for AI and technology founders. Hub71's own pathways continue to point startups toward programmes, investors, partners and the ADGM technology licence route.

Hub71 Positions Abu Dhabi Health Ecosystem As Clinical Pathway For Startups

Hub71 said its role is to open doors for startups by connecting them to capital, expertise and institutions, and highlighted how it links innovation to Abu Dhabi's health and life sciences ecosystem. The article frames the platform as a bridge from founder introductions to clinical trial pathways.

The signal is a market-access route rather than a standalone funding round. For AI health and life sciences ventures, Hub71 is presenting Abu Dhabi as a place where startups can connect with clinical partners, research institutions and ecosystem support.
