UAE Cyber Factory Opens to Build AI-Powered Defences
The national programme puts locally developed AI systems at the centre of a sovereign cybersecurity response as attacks on institutions and individuals intensify.
The UAE Cyber Security Council and CPX Holding have launched the UAE Cyber Factory, an initiative to design, build and scale cybersecurity programmes, technologies and systems powered by artificial intelligence. The partners said the factory will form a sovereign, integrated ecosystem with end-to-end national ownership of cybersecurity capabilities.
The Cyber Security Council said more than 800,000 cyberattacks had been recorded daily in recent months. Dr Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, said the initiative would develop technologies intended to detect, prevent and deter threats.
