Announced at the G20 by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the “AI for Development” programme will finance education, agriculture and infrastructure works in emerging economies.
The UAE has launched a $1 billion initiative to support and finance artificial-intelligence projects across African nations. The AI for Development programme, announced at the G20 summit by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will carry advanced technologies into education, agriculture and infrastructure.
Implementation falls to the Abu Dhabi Exports Office of the Fund for Development, in partnership with the UAE Foreign Aid Agency, offering financing and technical support to governments integrating AI into their operations.
