Abu Dhabi AI Campus Moves Toward First 500-Megawatt Phase

The planned 5-gigawatt UAE-US AI Campus would give Abu Dhabi one of the largest sovereign-backed compute platforms in the global race to host advanced artificial intelligence workloads.

The first phase of the UAE-US AI Campus in Abu Dhabi is expected to become operational before the end of the year, with officials saying the initial 500-megawatt phase is on track as part of a facility planned to reach 5 gigawatts.

The project forms part of the UAE-US AI Acceleration Partnership launched during US President Donald Trump's state visit to the UAE. It is intended to support demand for AI computing power, advanced digital technologies, next-generation AI applications and research capabilities.

The campus is also tied to a wider expansion of UAE-US technology cooperation, with UAE companies including G42 and MGX investing across semiconductors, AI laboratories, computing infrastructure and advanced applications.

Dubai Sets Two-Year Agentic AI Roadmap for 295,000 Companies

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has reviewed Dubai's roadmap for agentic AI transformation in the private sector, a programme that aims to empower 295,000 companies, develop and deliver 100 specialised AI assistants, and support the establishment of 50 agentic AI companies over the next two years.

The update also placed Dubai's wider digital economy infrastructure in view. The Dubai AI Campus now hosts more than 400 specialised companies and has trained more than 1,500 participants through its AI Academy, while the AI Infrastructure Empowerment Platform has been used by 27 government entities and is designed to preserve Dubai's data sovereignty.

Hub71 Opens Abu Dhabi Route for Indian Startups Through Second UAE-India Series

Hub71 has announced support for the second UAE-India Start-Up Series, a cross-border programme intended to connect Indian founders with Abu Dhabi's capital, customers, regulators and partner network. Ten Indian startups will be supported through Hub71's programmes, with applications opening in July.

Under the partnership, three startups will be shortlisted into Hub71's Access Programme and one will be onboarded with access to mentorship, investor introductions, regulatory support, corporate and government partners, AED 250,000 in in-kind incentives and AED 250,000 in cash via a SAFE note. Seven others will join the Hub71 Immersion Programme.
