Abu Dhabi AI Campus Moves Toward First 500MW Phase
The UAE-US investment framework is shifting from pledge to delivery as Abu Dhabi anchors a major AI infrastructure corridor with American commercial partners.
Abu Dhabi's Executive Affairs Authority said the UAE and the United States are advancing a ten-year, $1.4 trillion UAE commitment to invest in the US economy across energy, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, aviation, infrastructure and healthcare.
The framework includes the US-UAE AI Acceleration Partnership and a 5GW UAE-US AI Campus in Abu Dhabi, with the first 500MW expected to come online by the end of the year. The projects are largely spearheaded by MGX and G42 and are intended to mobilise capital across advanced semiconductors, large-scale AI infrastructure, AI labs and applications.
Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the UAE Executive Affairs Authority, said the relationship was exceeding commitments made a year earlier and was accelerating the technology and energy infrastructure needed to deepen economic investment.
