UAE Cabinet Sets Agentic AI Target for Half of Federal Services

The national programme turns autonomous AI from a policy theme into an implementation mandate for public-sector operations and federal workforce training.

The UAE Cabinet, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has approved an Agentic AI Project that WAM described as a world-first government framework to deploy Agentic AI across 50 percent of federal services and operations.

The programme is being reinforced by a strategic knowledge partnership between the UAE Government and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence to build Agentic AI expertise across the federal workforce. WAM said the national programme approved by the Cabinet will train 80,000 federal employees as Agentic AI experts across all occupational categories.

For technology vendors and consultancies, the signal is no longer limited to research or awareness. The federal government is specifying operational adoption, workforce credentialing and service redesign at a scale that could shape procurement demand across ministries and agencies.
